Materials:
As pictured worsted weight (4) yarn, use varies with size largest shown used about 42 yards of orange and a very small amount of a green variegated.
G Hook used.
Yarn Needle
Stuffing of your choice (I used poly fill)
Special Stitches: HDC in 3rd Loop. The third loop is located at the back of the hdc just under the top 2 loops normally worked in. You will do a normal half double crochet in this loop. Yarn over, insert hook in 3rd loop, yarn over, draw up loop, yarn over draw through 3 loops on hook.

Pattern Notes:
Beginning chain does not count as a stitch.
Beginning and ending tails about 3 times the beginning ch (6, 9, 12, 15 inches for those pictured).
Beginning chain establishes how tall your pumpkin will be.
Number of rows of hdc in 3rd loop and stuffing establish shape of pumpkin.
