If you are a wild bird lover and would like to help them build their nests, perhaps you would enjoy making a Bird’s Nest Helper, a bag filled with ingredients the birdies need to build their nests. You can help our wildlife while getting rid of some of your yarn and roving stash. Fill it also with dried leaves and grass, twigs, bits of cloth, anything you think the birds will gratefully include in their nests.

For the cord, I’ve included instructions on making an I-cord and AS A BONUS, I’ve included a photo tutorial on how to make a cord using the old Viking era tool called the lucet! Lots of fun!

As with all my designs, if you have any questions as you work up the design, please let me know.
