Super Easy Earflap Hat & Mitts
Easy-peasy!
This cute earflap hat starts off with 2 garter-stitch triangles, then stitches are cast on to join them in the round. A few rows of ribbing, a small field of stockingette, and decreases to the crown are all explained, with helpful hints. A couple tassels and a pom-pom complete this project, which can be knitted in just a few hours!
The mitts to go with the hat are very simple to make and feature a contrast cuff to match the pom-pom on the hat.
You will need one skein of Bamboospun or similar weight yarn (7 wraps per inch/2.2cm) in the main color and one skein in contrast color. Mitts are shown with thumbs in main color but I recommend the thumbs be also done in contrast to prevent running out of main color yarn!
The hat is One Size Fits Most from teens through adult. The mitts will also fit a range of sizes. They fit my 10 year old daughter and also my hands, which are a Ladies’ XL.
