If you know how to cast on, knit in straight needles and cast off. You can make this hats!! Purling is required only for the baby version. They are so easy and so fast to make. A baby hat takes only about 1 and half hour and the adult version about 4 hours total. The adult version directions will explain how to adjust for any head size.

The adult hat has a generous brim that can be adjusted to use the hat as a slouchy hat or a more fitted hat. The brim provides an extra layer of warmth and it can be folded down to cover the ears when is very cold. This is the only hat you would want to wear when is freezing cold, and you won’t believe how easy it is to make it.

Two strands of bulky weight yarns are held together throughout, to create a very elastic fabric. Mix in a furry yarn or a knobby one for a fun look. The samples in the picture were created with a knobby white yarn and a plain solid black yarn (both chunky weight #5) for an animal print look. Play with different yarns to achieve different results. A single strand of super bulky weight yarn #6, can be used instead of the double stranded bulky #5.
