I used 1 ball of super chunky yarn for this hat. It’s super quick and easy to make and they make fabulous gifts! I used 1 ball (100g /107 metres) ‘Emu Classic Super Chunky’ (100% Acrylic) with an 8mm hook.

The hat is crocheted in simple rows of half treble (US half double crochet) stitches to create a rectangular shape, inserting the hook into just the back loop only which creates a ribbed stretchy fabric.
A tube is then formed before closing the top to create the simple cosy hat shape… enjoy!
