These fun ankle socks are knit top-down and feature a German short-row heel and a rounded toe with kitchener stitch. This way they come together super quick and make great gifts and/or stashbuster projects. I love knitting lots of small scraps into them to make random stripes. If you’re like me and don’t mind (or even like) mismatched scrappy socks, don’t even bother about making an even number of socks - just keep knitting until you run out of yarn. I love reaching into my sock drawer and just throwing on two random socks that match in length and yarn weight but not necessarily in colour and/or pattern.
