Super Scrappy Slouchie
I first came up with this pattern, when I bought some GORGEOUS qivuit fibres to spin up. There was no way I could afford enough to make a slouchie hat. So I searched for a solution. I did not want just stripes, I wanted bands that linked together - so I adapted this slip stitch pattern to make a slouchie.
I now use this pattern to use up any worsted/aran weight handspun left over’s – I hate to waste yarn I have spun!!!
Requirements :
100-150m in total of aran and/or worsted weight yarn. I have sometimes used upto chunky weight for some bands, but this can cause the fabric to become puckered and more rigid.
4.5mm and 5.5mm 16 inch circular needles
double pointed needles for the decrease if the magic loop method or double circular needle method is not used.
tapestry needle
stitch marker.
I hope you enjoy a great stash busting pattern!
