There hasn’t been a time when I haven’t loved baskets. I love how I can use them to organize and store so many different things…and they can be used in every room of the house! So this pattern is for a very basic round basket. Once you get comfortable with this pattern, it can easily be modified to make smaller or bigger baskets. Or leave out the handles and fold the edge down for a different look. With simple modifications and a little imagination, this pattern can go a long way!

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: EASY
The basic pattern is simple and uses the chain and half-double crochet stitches to make the body of the basket. You can stop there or add a decorative edge with the Crab Stitch (which is a variation on the Single Crochet.)

• K / 10.5 (6.5mm) crochet hook
