After goofing around with my basic slouchy hat pattern for a couple of test-knits, I opted to scrap the whole thing and start from scratch. This new version is knitted with a double-strand of Sausalito. I made a point to not line up the colors, which, although it still self-stripes, the colors are a little more mottled. Gauge for this pattern is not crucial, but you should aim to be within a half-stitch/inch of the suggested gauge.
