Description
This snake is knitted using just one ball of DK weight yarn and some scrap yarn for the mouth and thus makes for an ideal stash buster. The self striping yarn does all the work and is fun to knit with as you see stripe after stripe appear. This would be an ideal project for practicing knitting in the round, as well as being a fun quick project for more advanced knitters who fancy some instant gratification. The snake would of course make for a great children’s toy, but alternate uses could include a draught stopper, a funny sort of scarf, a skipping rope, a cat’s toy, a turban when rolled around on one’s head and many many more (admittedly, some are more plausible than others :P).

  • 115 yards / 105 meters of self striping yarn in double-knitting weight

  • Toy stuffing
