Super Simple Toe Up Socks
This pattern includes a beginner-friendly written version of a basic vanilla toe-up sock. This pattern could easily be utilized as a base pattern upon which to add texture and design elements, and includes easy to follow instructions for a toe-up heel flap and gusset.
Why knit toe-up socks? Although I usually knit cuff-down, a toe-up sock is perfect to utilize every last scrap of yarn that you have left – ensuring that you’ll have enough yarn for both feet, and can vary the leg of the sock based on the amount of yarn you have left!
This pattern is knit using a US1 (2.25mm) needle, because that is the needle that creates a sock fabric I enjoy working with, but feel free to change needle sizes as you see fit, adjusting for gauge and sizing to determine the number of stitches to cast on and increase to.
You will need yarn, needle, stitch marker (if not using magic loop), darning needle and any other notions that you like to use!
