This is a sock for the very beginner sock knitter. It is knit on larger needles for socks (size 2) to make it an easier beginner sock pattern.

There are a multitude of photos and tips to make your first successful sock project. This is an eBook that was developed for a Zoom Beginner Sock Knitting Class. So the pattern is very detailed, designed for both beginner knitters (most who joined the class and finished their first pair of socks had been knitting for less than a year) and first time sock knitters.

The socks are knit from the toe up for two advantages:

1. There is no need to pick up stitches when knitting the heel.

2. You can keep knitting as long as you want up the leg to use up all your yarn or use a finite amount of yarn without playing yarn chicken.
