Cardboard circle, 7.5cm diameter with 2cm hole in centre
Lightweight garden wire
Wooden mobile frame with six arms (the one used came from www.littlecraftybugs.co.uk)
Cup hook
Invisible thread
Metal screw hook

DK-weight felted tweed yarn, small amounts of:

Yarn B Grey

4ply-weight felted tweed yarn, 5g of:
Yarn J Orange (use twostrands held together)
DK-weight yarn, small amounts of:

Mercury 2cm (3/4 in) diameter
Venus 2cm (3/4 in) diameter

Note The relative proportions of the planets are not accurate to scale. When you assemble the mobile, you may have to vary the lengths of invisible string and where on the individual arms you position them, in order to get the planets to balance equally.
