This is an advanced beginner friendly pattern that knits up quick and fits a variety of head sizes.

It was designed as a quick knit to be donated to homeless shelters and therefore had to be warm, stylish, easy to care for and not expensive.

This pattern is more than just a 2x1 rib beanie, it has a beautifully shaped crown to give it a fitted and modern appearance and looks wonderful with a pom-pom as well!

The pattern was written primarily for Caron Latte Cake yarn as it fit all the requirements but the pattern can be used for any Bulky weight yarn, adjusting for gauge by increasing/decreasing in multiple of 3 stitches or going up or down a needle size. The length of the hat can also be adjusted to make a fold over brim.

The pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up using Magic Loop, circular needles or DPN’s.
