Newborn hat designed to fit a wide range of babies. This is a very simple pattern. Because it is worked flat it can be knit by even the most inexperienced knitter. A circular knit version is also included in the pattern.

Gauge: 24sts = approx 7inches in 2x2 ribbing
11 sts = 4 inches in stocking stitch

Knitted with 2 strands of worsted weight yarn held together throughout. One skein of Red Heart Super Saver will make several hats.

You can of course use two strands of yarn of the same color; but using two colors with high contrast makes a more interesting look.
