Gauge not that important, and tricky to measure, though 24 rows stocking stitch = 4” or 10 cm on 5.0 mm needles for me.

Ice Yarns Alpaca Flamme “gives” rather nicely without stretching out overly much. The yarn is similar to bulky thick and thin homespun yarn to knit up, and almost looks homespun as well.

You will need 4 X 50 gm skeins to make these.

You could work them 2 at a time, if you prefer. I knitted them singularly.

Size: They fit between a 13 inch - 15 inch calf comfortably. If you wish to make larger, add 4 or 6 stitches. For smaller, subtract 4 stitches.
