These little hanging ornaments are a breeze to make and use only small amounts of scrap yarn. They are crocheted over the tamper proof ring connected to caps on bottles and jars, or curtain rings - which help the ornament maintain its shape.

The ornaments would also make lovely bunting if strung together in a group.

Getting these rings out of the trash is good for the environment, and also good for wildlife, as birds and animals and sea life often get the rings caught on their necks or ingest them.
