Superfast beret
I thought I’d share my super-fast quick and dirty beret guidelines, because a project that is really fast, really simple, easy to memorize, and only uses one skein of yarn is a great thing.
These are guidelines, not a line by line pattern. It starts with a band of 1x1 ribbing and goes from there. As long as you can figure out the right number of stitches to start out with to do a 1x1 ribbing in the right tightness for your head, then this is finished in a snap.
This hat isn’t HUGE. I don’t have a lot of hair to cover. If you’re looking for a much larger hat to go over a ton of hair, then I’d cast on more stitches, probably increase more drastically, and for sure knit for longer before decreasing, but it would probably be easier to find a different hat “formula”.
