Use your knitting super-skills to costume the super heroine inside! The Superpowers Shawl is a crescent shawl knit in multiple directions. It combines a variety of skills into a shawl that drapes nicely over your shoulders and MAY give you superpowers while knitting*.

Start with striped short row wedges, move onto a textured i-cord, and then knit on a border with lace, cables, and beads. Like a comic book, each of these sections is a volume of the backstory to your disguise!

You’ll need 2 1/2 skeins of yarn, and there is a color story page with ideas for picking the scheme for your ensemble. You can also add beads to the edge for extra flare!

  • 2 skeins of 425 yards fingering weight yarn.
  • 1 skein of 250 yards fingering weight yarn for accents.
  • 600 size 6/0 beads (optional).

The pattern has written instructions and the charts use stitch maps for the cable and lace border. Visit Stitch-Maps.com for more information on charts that work great for displaying increases in lace in this pattern.

Be Costume Ready: pick up your shield, grab your bow and arrows, and/or slip into something that can show off your moves!
