These cosy fairisle mitts are worked in the round from cuff to palm and feature a geometric design. Knitted in supersoft alpaca - perfect for winter. They have a long ribbed cuff which can be folded over to the length you find most comfortable. A pair of mitts can be knitted with two 50g balls of 4-ply yarn (one of each colour), leaving plenty to spare for other projects, so they are affordable to make and make perfect gifts. Would look wonderful in a variety of colour combinations. Shown here in a charcoal and white combination, which goes with everything.

Each mitt measures approximately 24cm (9 ½ inches) from cuff to palm edge, but the cuff can be folded over to your desired length.

Suggested yarn: Drops Alpaca 4 Ply 100% Alpaca 50g/ball. 1 ball of each colour required to make a pair of mitts, but you will have plenty left over for other projects. Shown in shades Dark Grey Mix (0506) and White (1101)

You will need:

  • 1 set of circular needles size 2mm (US0) or size needed to match gauge
  • 1 darning/wool needle for weaving in ends
  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holder / scrap yarn
