This sock is part colorwork, part plain. As designed, it’s possible to wear with longer pants and a closed shoe so that when you remove your shoe, surprise! A kitten is poised to pounce.

Worked in the round, toe-up, with a folded-over cuff. Same needle size is used throughout. An increased stitch count is used to correct for the lack of elasticity in stranded colorwork.

Example shown uses three colors of yarn, but the design can work using only two or even four (or more, if you don’t want the cuff to pull from the rest!).
