Meet Susan… if April showers bring May flowers, then this little sunflower is in full bloom!

She can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

My Susan is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids and Heathers using two colors.

• Color 1: Duckie (45 yards)
• Color 2: Sweet Pea (30 yards)
• Color 3: Chocolate (55 yards)
• Color 4: Hot Rose (45 yards)

Susan is an advanced beginner-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, increases, decreases, slip stitches, crocheting the front and back loops, and some seaming. Included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although instructions for using plastic safety eyes are given as well.
