Sushi Rolls and Matcha
I like to crochet food. It’s always an experience when your yarn craft project gives you the munchies! By request a few years ago, I was asked to create some little plush sushi rolls. Later I made a smaller set and Asian-style cup of matcha, which is a high-grade Japanese ceremony tea… I kept diligent notes when I worked up these cute little foods, thus Sushi Madness was born!
This pattern gives you the instructions to crochet two types of sushi rolls- Nori wrapped or Rice rolled as well as color combinations for 6 different sushi roll “flavors:”
- California Roll- either rice rolled or nori outer
- Veggie California Roll
- Tuna Roll
- Crab Roll
- Avocado Roll
The pattern also gives instruction for a small, handle-less cup of matcha (which you could replace to make sake or other teas and beverages).
This pattern is rated as Easy. Sushi Madness is suitable for beginners.
