Suspended Neckerchief
The Suspended Lace Neckerchief was designed to be a one skein project, it’s sole purpose being to finally use my one precious skein of Tilli Thomas Beaded Lace DK. The yarn, like the Rowan Siena that is also shown here, has been discontinued. However, the Tilli, at least, is not very hard to find. Additional yarn suggestions are listed in the pattern, or consider one of the yarns used by my wonderful test knitters.
This wrap knits up quickly from the bottom up. It’s open, airy and calls for a soft and drapey yarn that shows some stitch definition. You can add a bead or pendant at the point for a little drama. The pattern includes written instructions, a traditional chart and a Stitch-map chart.
Final measurements may vary depending on how tightly you knit, yarn selection and how aggressively you block the piece. Be gentle if you use silk yarn and do not wet block. Instead, pin out to size and then mist the piece and leave it to dry.
