Suspension Bridge Bootees
Because baby bootees needn’t be a major feat of engineering…
Knit flat and seamed along the sole and the back,
I find these a quick knit - perfect for when I just don’t feel like working in the round and they’ve proved popular with mums and babies alike.
To fit foot sizes: 0-3 (3-6, 6-9) months on average or a foot length (heel to toe) of 8 (9, 10)cm or about 3⅛ (3½, 4)”
You will need:
3.25 mm (US 3) straight knitting needles (or size needed to obtain required gauge/tension)
2 x 3mm (US 2 1/2) double pointed needles (or 1 size down from those used to knit the bootees)
1 x 50g ball of Baruffa Pura Lana DK (115 m /126 yds)
For the bootees & ties: that is about 32g (40g, 48g) - 75 (95,110) m or 82 (104, 120) yds
4 ring markers
1 embroidery/darning needle
Note: I find a row counter very useful and a safety pin might be handy too.
