Sussurro is a beautiful crescent shawl, worked in one piece, top down. It is knit with one strand of fingering weight yarn and one strand of mohair/silk yarn held together. The body of this shawl is first knit in a Double Moss stitch pattern that creates a lovely texture. This part is followed by a large portion of magnificent lace. The picot edging adds a romantic accent to this elegant piece of accessory.

This pattern was created in collaboration with Le Moire Yarn.

This pattern includes both charted and written instructions .

Yarn: Le Moire Yarn Destiny 100% merino wool, superwash; 400 meters (437 yards)/ 100g (3.53 oz): 2 skeins and Le Moire Yarn Rajà 75% super kid mohair, 25% mulberry silk; 420 meters (459 yards)/ 50g (1.76 oz): 2 skeins; both yarns kept together;
Sample was knit in Sand Rust (Destiny) and Sand (Rajà) colorways;

Needles: 4 mm/ US6 circular needles, 80 cm (32”) long or longer; or needle size to obtain gauge;

Gauge: 20 sts and 32 rows in Stockinette Stitch to 10 cm/ 4” on 4 mm/ US6 needles, blocked;

Gauge is not important for this project but it will affect the size of your shawl and the yardage. Make sure you have enough yarn to complete your project.

Other: tapestry needle to weave in loose ends;

Measurements: after blocking: approx. 210 cm/ 83” wide, 51 cm/ 20” long measured from center top to bottom;
