A quiet whisper; a gentleness amid the hustle and bustle of the holiday season; Susurration is a simple one-skein shawl design meant to bring a calmness to the knitter. It is written with two variations: one with a stockinette stitch body, closer-spaced increases for a shorter, deeper shawl and a garter stitch edging, and the other with a garter stitch body, greater-spaced increases for a longer, shallower shawl and an I-cord edging that is created by slipping the first three stitches at the beginning of each row. A simple right and left twist stitch pattern adorn the border on both shawls.

Both shawls are easily adjustable and can be made smaller or larger based upon available yardage. Information to determine how many repeats and how large your shawl will be based on those repeats, is included in the pattern. Instructions are both written and charted and video tutorials are included for the twist stitches and decrease stitches. A stitch count table for the shawl shown is also included in the pattern. The pattern includes separate files for each shawl for ease in reading.
