TECHNIQUES USED IN THIS PATTERN
Links to videos for selected techniques are included. I look for videos as close as possible to the instructions I have written. Sometimes they may be slightly different but still very helpful.

For your hat to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.
SUGGESTED NEEDLE SIZES
o Size 6 circular needle, 16 inches long
o Size 9 circular needle, 16 inches long
o Size 9 double pointed needles (set of 4 or 5 needles)
o 2 small size (size 2, 3 or 4) double pointed needles for o o I-cord bow
NOTIONS
o Ring marker
o Five small safety pins

GAUGE
o 17 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch on size 9 needles
