The stranded colorwork pattern in this design imitates ink droplets on paper. This hat is worked in a merino-cashmere blend from the bottom up, with the crown decreases worked right into the star-shaped colorwork chart pattern.

Yarn YOTH Yarns Little Brother (80% superwash merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 435 yd 398 m/31/2 oz 100 g): oyster (MC), cracked pepper (CC1), and black mission fig (CC2), 1 skein each.

Needles Size 4 (3.5 mm): 16” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
