Svelte Felted E-Reader Cover
A satisfying felting project that takes only a few hours, this e-reader cover will protect your device from scratches and impacts and it’s sure to impress anyone who receives it as a gift!
All you need is less than 100 grams of worsted felting wool--a great stash buster too. Patons and Cascade are popular choices, but make sure you don’t include any superwash. The examples here were knit with Patons Classic Wool Worsted, a reliable choice. One button or toggle completes the accessory.
This e-reader cover is knit in the round and requires only one seam at the bottom edge. The sides have faux seams to guide the finishing and instructions for the buttonhole are included. And, of course, detailed instructions for the felting process contribute to the four page document.
Gauge is variable because size is determined to a large extent by the felting process. Felt is highly maleable and can be dampened or steamed in order to adjust the dimensions. The cover can be stretched on a form for an exact fit.
