Swaddle Smock
This design is part of the New Girl layette collection from Tot Toppers and is shown with a coordinating piece from the set. New Girl is available as a booklet or an e-book and the patterns are now available individually as well. .
Bring your little lady home in style with this cozy bunting. The pattern offers a myriad of options to make it suitable for babies born at any time of year: it can be knit either as an infant gown or a tunic-length sweater with short or long sleeves. • The onesie-style neckline allows it to slide easily over baby’s head or over the hips should that be more comfortable; a photo tutorial for construction is included. Infant gown features an elasticized gather at the bottom making diaper changes easy. • It’s worked top down seamlessly with raglan style sleeves. A smidge of stranded colorwork is included to separate the bodice and skirt; work the third color in duplicate stitch to simplify. The sweater is accented with sweet picot edging to give it a delicate finish for your little darling. • Shown in Preemie (Tunic) and Newborn (Gown). Color notation corresponds to Gown.
