Swamp Witch
Do you love Fleetwood Mac and have the utmost respect for Stevie Nicks’ shawl game?
Do you love American Horror Story’s Misty Day?
Or..do you simply want an ENORMOUS shawl that you can twirl around in forever?
I got you.
Swamp Witch is inspired by AHS’ Misty Day, my favorite character from the series. Not gonna lie, I just love her. She’s a beautiful and wholesome soul and I think the world could learn a lot from her.
This shawl is huge. No, really. It’s huge. This is the biggest shawl I’ve ever designed at a ridiculous nearly 100 inch wingspan (after blocking)
It features light and airy stitches with larger needles so it knits rather quickly and a repeated design that makes it relaxing to work on. Dropped stitches and eyelets give it a little somethin’ extra and some light texture as well. This shawl is perfect for summer nights, bonfires, morning coffee on the back porch…you decide.
YOU SHALL NEED!
-1 cake of dk weight 3 yarn. For my featured shawl, I used Lion Brand Wrap Star in “Fergie” approx 470-500 yards (aim big so you have enough for however much fringe you want!)
- US 11 (8mm) needles with the longest cable you have for comfort and ease
-stitch markers
-crochet hook optional for fringe attachment
-needle to weave in ends
