This pattern shows how to crochet a cute amigurumi swan, suitable for children as a toy, wedding decoration or gift.
Size: With the material suggested in this guide, the swan will be 12,5cm. If you use thicker yarn, the swan will be bigger.
Materials:
• Yarn: white, black, red, beige. I used YarnArt Begonia (100% cotton, 50g/169m).
• Hook: 2mm or 1,75mm
• Scissors.
• Filling material of your choice.
• Beads for eyes 2pcs.
• Needle.
Difficulty level: medium
Abbreviations
The pattern is worked using US Crochet Terms. Conversions to UK terms are shown below in parentheses:
mr - magic ring
ch - chain stitch
sc - single crochet (dc - double crochet)
inc - increase
dec - decrease
sc blo - sc back loop only (dc back loop only) To make a stitch in the back loop only, you have to insert your hook in the middle of the “v” and grab only the part of the “v” that is further from you, that is the back loop. Next, make the stitch as usually.
