This knitting pattern for my ‘Sweater and Pants’ is designed to fit an 18” American Girl doll.

The sweater is fully open in the back with 3 buttonholes for ease of dressing and is knit flat and top-down.
The pants have a ribbed waist and the look of a front and back ‘crease’ in each pant leg. The pants are also knit flat.

Materials:
• DK (double knitting) or light-worsted weight yarn (such as Snuggly Baby Bamboo) in two colours
• 3.25 mm needles
• 3 buttons for the sweater
• one yarn needle

Gauge:
approximately 27 stitches = 10 cm / 4 inches using 3.25 mm needles

Techniques:
• Long-tail Cast-On
• Short Rows

Stitches (instructions included in PDF)
• C2L - cross 2 left
• C2R - cross 2 right
• k1fb - knit one front and back
• M1L - make one left
• M1R - make one right
• s1pwyif - slip one purl-wise with yarn in front
