“Aqua” está inspirado en la abundancia, fuerza y poder del agua. Un elemento que trae vida, se filtra por los lugares más pequeños, erosiona la tierra y toma diferentes formas: ondulaciones, y olas que puedes encontrar en los elementos de color que componen este suéter: pliegues ondulantes y trenzas.

El agua es vida, es energía y es fuerza. Es un bien escaso en nuestro planeta que debemos cuidar. Este sweater es un homenaje a ese elemento y a todo lo que nos aporta.

CONSTRUCCIÓN

Es un suéter de manga caída que se construye de arriba hacia abajo, con mangas un tanto abullonadas. Se inicia en plano con un urdido provisional para la espalda y se trabaja ésta con una trenza central en Intarsia.

Luego se retoman los puntos del urdido provisional y se trabaja cada delantero en plano, desde el hombro hacia abajo, hasta formar un cuello en V. Se unen los puntos del delantero y se trabaja la misma trenza de la espalda.

Al separar cuerpo y mangas se unen todos los puntos y se trabaja el cuerpo en circular con las trenzas en Intarsia en espalda y delantero. Para cerrar el cuerpo se realiza un elástico corrugado en la pretina y en el cuello.

Se toman los puntos de las mangas y se trabajan 3 pliegues ondulados para continuar con la manga, en punto jersey y se cierran en los puños con elástico corrugado.

Para terminar la prenda, se trabaja el cuello, levantando algunos puntos alrededor de éste y retomando los que estaban en espera en la espalda. Este cuello también es en elástico corrugado de dos colores y hace una ligera forma de V, ya que se le incorporan algunas disminuciones al centro.

CONSTRUCTION

It is a drop-shoulder and boxy sweater that is constructed from the top down, with slightly puffed sleeves. It begins flat with a provisional cast-on for the back, which is worked with a central Intarsia cable in three colors.

Then, the sts from the provisional cast-on are picked up, and each front is worked flat, from the shoulder down, until forming a V-neck. The front sts are joined, and the same cable as the back is worked.

When separating the body and sleeves, all the sts are joined, and the body is worked in the round with the Intarsia cables on the back and front. To finish the body, a corrugated ribbing is worked on the hem and the neck.

The sleeve sts are picked up, and 3 undulating pleats are worked before continuing with the sleeve in stockinette stitch, finishing with a corrugated ribbing at the cuffs.

To complete the garment, the neck is worked by picking up sts around it and picking up the held sts from the back. This neck is also in two-color corrugated ribbing and forms a slight V-shape, as some decreases are incorporated in the center.
