Sweater Basic (kid)
The knitting pattern is stitched and includes: a detailed description, photos of the process, raglan scheme with calculations for all sizes and a video tutorial of the entire knitting process from start to finish.
Difficulty level: medium.
Sises (years): 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12.
Construction: the sweater is seamless, worked with raglan increases from the top down in rounds. The yoke is divided to sleeves and the body and are worked separately in the round. To lengthen the back, additional rows are worked back and forth over the back and the body is continued in circles. This sweater is roomy with straight sleeves.
Suggested yarn.
Two color version: Ligh color: Cariaggi 70% merino, 30% cashmere) 100g/1500m in 6 threads; lurex thread art. Caramel Lux (68% viscose, 27% pa, 5% lurex) 100g/330m.
One color version is made in Gazzal Organic baby cotton (Color 441).
Alternative yarn options: merino wool, wool, wool blends, cotton, cotton blends, acrylic – all suitable in this yardage 50g/110-125m. For example, Gazzal Organic baby cotton, Lana Grossa Riserva, Alize Lana Gold Classic. Golden thread alternatives: Lana Gatto New Glitter, YarnArt Sparkle, Lame Madeira, YarnArt Manhattan.
Required amount of yarn: 200g - 400g. You may need more or less amount of yarn depending on the desired length of the sweater. Suggested here is for the regular fit sweater). For two-colored cropped sweater in size S 400g (150g golden, and 250g white) was used.
Needles: 3/4mm circular needles 40/80cm. 2,5mm needles for Italian cast on.
Gauge/tension 10x10cm: half-patent (half-brioche) in rounds on 4mm needles 20 sts x 40 rows.
