Sweater Hope
What makes crochet sweaters good specifically for crocheters? It is possible to use multi-colored yarn leftovers to create them, even if they are different in composition and yarn weight, you just need to give way to your imagination.
The sweater is a little bit of a slim fit, made up of two front and back parts, which are joined along the sides and sleeves. The armhole is quite low; it begins above the waist and its volume decreases from the shoulder to the wrist.
This tutorial contains the ready patterns of the sizes S-M (US 6, 8, 10, 12), which need to be transferred to the paper full size. I recommend you make a fabric model based on this pattern in order to adjust all the details about the length and fit, thus the sweater will fit you perfectly.
You can make sweater for the size S-M (6-10) from yarn of any characteristics by the pattern.
This pattern is in a .pdf format, 42 pages long, you can be downloaded immediately after your purchase.
The “Hope” sweater crochet pattern contains:
- the calculation of yarn needed to make the whole piece based on colors,
- stitch abbreviations and explanation of the pattern,
- ready patterns of sizes S-M (US 6, 8, 10, 12)
- сalculations and crochet order, assembly
All of the explanations are given based on the example of size S (US 10) made with the yarn weighing 350 m / 100 gr (~ 382 yds /3.5 oz). You do not need to stick to the crochet tension, so you can use any yarn of any composition and yardage/weight proportion.
On the photos you can see sweater 24,8” (63 cm) in length, crocheted with 100% cotton fingering yarn (100 g/ 350 m), 3 mm hook.
Skill level – “beginner”, that means you have to know and be able to crochet basic stitches and read simple charts.
Do not hesitate to contact me should you run into any problem during the crocheting process.
