Sweater with cables
Sweater with cables is knitted top down with a seamless technique. First you knit the turtleneck, after that you knit increases for the saddle shoulder and lastly you increase for the sleeves. Then you split for sleeves and knit the body and sleeves separately. The cables are knitted with the help of a 10 rows repeat and it will be a intuitive process after a couple of rounds.
The basic techniques used in this pattern are M1L & M1R. I recommend using the Italian bind-off for a neat finish to the ribbing, however your preferred bind-off method may of course be used.
Recommended yarn
Gepard Garn, Woolia, 50g = 133m
Held together with one strand of
Isager Yarn, Silk Mohair, 25g = 212m
Gauge
15 stitches x 21 rows on 10 x10 cm or 4x4 inch on a 6 mm or US 10 needle in stockinette after blocking. 5 mm or US 8 is used for the ribbing.
The specified needle size is only a recommendation. Always use the needle size that gives you the correct gauge!
