Sweater with Shoulder Fastening
by Robin Wools
Originally offered by Robin Wools as a free pattern with yarn purchase, this cotton pullover sweater with button fastening at the shoulder seams remains one of baby’s favorite. Pattern is one of four in a Robin pamphlet (out-of-print but available for purchase online if you search).
The simple pattern combines 1x1 ribbing, stockinette stitch, and seed stitch. It looks more complicated than it is. Makes a great gift.
Three sizes, to fit chest measurements: 16, 18 and 20 inches
Each size requires one ball of Bambino DK (discontinued). Substitute any cotton or cotton-blend DK weight yarn.
Needles: US #3 (3.25mm) for ribbing and US #6 (4mm) for rest.
Worked flat and seamed together.
