Sweater with stripes
Sweater with stripes is a pattern for a striped knitted sweater with a slightly oversized fit and wide sleeves with a tapered shape. The sweater is also designed with a drop-shoulder construction, which means that it fits nicely regardless of shoulder width.
Sweater with stripes is knitted in stockinette stitch. First the back piece is knitted back and forth, then stitches are picked up along the shoulder to create the front piece and finally the body is knitted in the round on circular needle. At the end, the front and back parts are divided again to create a split hem. The sleeves are worked in the round with decreases over every fifth row to give the sleeves a tapered shape.
