These slippers have been fulled to make the fabric even denser. The process of fulling shrinks the fabric and loses the definition of the individual stiches, so it looks like felt (hence the process can also be known as felting). The sole of the slipper, the top, and the sides are all made seperately by knitting straight on two needles and the pieces then stitched together. The stitches for the cuff are picked up from the top adn then worked in the round.

These are knit large and then felted down to size. No need to
watch gauge. You will need a contrasting color for blanket stitch and snowflakes. Use an oddment of light-weight (DK) yarn in cream for the embroidery.
