Sweet & Simple Knitted Rosette

I’ve been on a knitting quest to create a rosette that is fairly simple to make, worked in one piece, but which still has the appearance of having distinct petals. Here is my version, which can be worked in a variety of yarn weights. The flower is worked as a sequence of short rows; however, there is no wrapping of stitches involved. These directions should serve as a starting point. Once you have the technique, you can vary the stitch counts & width of the piece as you wish for different effects.
