- The name says it all - this beanie is very simple, but oh so sweet! Only using knit and purl stitches, this design is very beginner friendly. I wanted to create a pattern that is easily adjusted for sizes, and can be worn two ways! I love that this design is reversible - that way you can pick your favorite side. It can also create such sweet Mommy and Me sets that can be completely matching or simply coordinating. I love the purl heart when it’s in a flat lay picture, but the knit heart design really shines when being worn. Have fun with this sweet and simple design, I can’t wait to see what you make! .

- Beginner: pattern assumes knitter is familiar with knit and purl stitches

Size:

• Will vary based on what size you make
• Adult: 8 in wide x 10 in tall / 20 cm wide x 25 cm tall

Materials:

• Yardage is based off of size; this pattern comes with instructions for baby to adult sizes. Yardage noted under sizing tab in pattern
• 1 skein size 6 / super bulky yarn
• Recommended: Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, or any other similar size 6 (super bulky) wool blend yarn. 100% acrylic yarn technically would be fine, but it doesn’t steam block as well as wool blends do.
• US 13 / 9.0 mm circular needles for brim
• US 15 / 10.0 mm circular knitting needles, OR needles to obtain gauge. If your swatch is too small, bump up your needle size. If it’s too large, size down needles
• Designers samples used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in the color Blossom, as well as Fisherman
• I used size US 15 needles, but if you’re a looser knitter, US 13 needles might be fine for you. You may also want to use a smaller needle size for the brim than you use on the body.

Download:

• Once payment is received, you can save this pattern to your Ravelry library, and you will receive an email containing a download link button for the PDF pattern.
• Make sure you have a PDF reader installed to open the pattern.

Other:

• This beanie is knitted in the round, from the bottom up
• Pattern is written and charted in standard American knitting instructions
• This pattern includes instructions for child to adult size
• Be sure to steam block this design when finished - it really helps the stitches relax, and makes the heart design look better. This works best with a wool blend yarn.
