The dress itself, is seamless and worked from the top down. The pocket is knitted separately, then is sewn onto the dress.

This sweet baby dress has an easy garter stitch yoke and the full bottom of the dress is edged with an eyelet pattern. The dress is exceptionally full, much wider than most knitted baby dresses. I designed it to loosely resemble the Bishop smocked baby dresses which are also very full.

The dress has full puffed sleeves and a cute puffy pocket. The yoke looks darling when decorated with store bought satin ribbon flowers or cute fancy buttons. There is a back neck opening with a button & loop closure to make for easy on and off.
