Sweet Baby Sweater & Hat
June 2013 - A number of people told me they wished that this pattern were available in more sizes so I have finally re-worked it. The new pattern is a little different but not too much. You can find the new one in the pattern section here on Ravelry under the name Sweet Baby Sweater. It doesn’t have a hat though.
Sweater took 254 yds. Hat took 71 yds.
(325 yds total for both)
The Sweater is worked top down. The yoke is garter stitch and the sleeves are done in a pattern stitch that is much easier than it looks. The yoke can be left plain or decorated by sewing on purchased little ribbon flowers or embroidering them yourself.
Instead of doing the sleeve in the pattern stitch, the entire sleeve can be done in garter stitch. The pattern also has instructions to do garter stitch short sleeves instead.
The hat is worked from bottom to top and is finished off by knitting a cute “flower” on top, using the instructions in the pattern.
A special THANK YOU very much to my test knitters, rainbowg and knit2grow, who were a tremendous help to me!
