I made this cupcake hat pattern for my chocoholic of a 2 year old. She looks so adorable in hers! Too bad she wont stay still long enough for me to get a decent picture of her wearing it to put here ;)

This is a pretty easy knit, but a little bit of skill is required in making the loop stitches. They are pretty easy to learn, and once you get the hang of them youll be whipping up these hats really quickly! There is a tutorial on making the loop stitch in my pattern for those who are not familiar with it.

All knitting terms needed for this pattern are:

CO: Cast on
K: Knit
P: Purl
LS: Loop Stitch
St(s): Stitch(es)
: Continue to end
BO: Bind off

The materials youll need to complete this pattern are the following:

Size 10US (6mm) needles
One 200 yard skein of brown worsted weight soft cotton yarn.
One 150 yard skein of any other color yarn, in the same weight and type as above, that youd like for the base of the cupcake.
You can also use any worsted weight yarn for this project with a knit gauge of 1 inch square = 6x4 sts.
One small 50 yard skein of red cotton worsted weight soft cotton Yarn
