This pretty little basket bed is suitable for a 20cm or 8” doll. Delight a child with this sweet carry bed to tuck their favourite baby into and carry along. The pattern includes the bed, optional mattress and an old fashioned cover to keep baby warm.

The bed is worked in single crochet in rounds with worsted weight yarn held double to make a thick sturdy fabric. The mattress is worked with a fluffy yarn and the coverlet is worked with a single strand of the same yarn used for the basket. This is an easy project that crochets up quickly and can be upsized by increasing the rounds on the bottom. Make sure that you end up with an even number of stitches on the final round of the base to start the sides in order to work the flowers.
