Sweet dreams blanket
This little blanket was inspired by my scarf/shawl pattern - “I had a dream”. I was fascinated by how different the stitch looks with different combinations of the yarn/needle size and I was sure it would make a great blanket if I change the needle size accordingly.
The sample used a beautiful blend of polwarth/camel and it has a soft feel with an air cell texture.
And it is such an easy pattern, just repeat 2 rows until you reach the desired dimensions.
This blankie is perfect for a stroller cover, 70cm x 90 cm but very easy to adjust to a full size blanket or other sizes.
I haven’t seen this stitch before, so I’ll claim it until I do find it! However it is hard to believe you can still invent a new stitch now :) if you do find it somewhere else, please let me know !
Sample uses a light DK yarn and 4.5mm needle -but please feel free to experiment with different yarns and needle size.
Sample is 70cm x 90 cm - perfect size for a baby stroller cover, but easy to adjust to a full size blanket or other sizes.
