Sweet Edith Cowl
It is safer to be at home right now, so maybe you would like to knit a simple project. This pattern is free for the next month. It is knit, but offers two options - knit or crochet - for the border. My heart is going out to our medical workers and others on the frontline. It’s just a suggestion, but please consider knitting a gift to warm the heart of someone who is making a difference.
The Sweet Edith cowl, named for my wonderful mother, combines knit with a very simple crochet border, or a picot bind off may be used if you prefer all knitting.
This cowl is fun to knit and fun to wear. Knitting it in a cotton blend yarn makes it a perfect summer cowl. Because the stitch pattern is easy to memorize, it is a great project for knit night, or any knit gathering with friends. Subtle increases give the cowl a beautiful drape when worn, and the final crochet or knit edge adds a sweet touch.
