Sweet Handfuls Mini Baby Doll and Hospital Set
Level: INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED
This listing is for a set of easy-to-follow digital PDF patterns showing how to crochet an amigurumi baby doll and hospital set (hat, diaper, booties, and receiving blanket.) The following are all included!! The digital pattern of the Mini Baby Doll includes: 44 pages, 300+ full color photos, English US crochet terms, detailed descriptions and instructions. The digital pattern of the Hospital Set includes: 12 pages, 48+ full color photos, English US crochet terms, detailed descriptions and instructions. BONUS #1 included: 8-page TEXT ONLY PDF printable file, (to be used with guidance from the full pattern on a digital device), without using a ton of printer ink!! BONUS #2 included: Printable Birth Certificate and hospital bracelets sized for dolls made with size 2, 3, and 4 yarn weights.
If using size 2, fingering or super fine weight yarn, and a 1.5mm hook, the doll will be around 5” in length, and will fit in your hand! If using size 3, sport weight yarn, or size 4, worsted weight yarn, the doll will be considerably larger (approx. 6 1/2” sport weight, 8” worsted weight.) These dolls can be made with any size yarn, as long as you are consistent throughout the pattern. You will want to use a hook that provides a tight enough tension so that stuffing will not show through your stitches. Doll is made with Yarn Under (x-stitch), and clothes are made in Yarn Over (v-stitch) (or yarn under if you prefer.)
Supplies needed for this project include:
Size 1.5mm hook
Size 2.0mm hook
Super fine weight yarn (I used Hobbii Rainbow cotton 8/4) in colors: preferred skin tone; small amounts of black, white, and brown for the face; pink, light blue, and white
Stitch markers or paper clips
Tapestry needle
Fiberfill stuffing
6mm safety eyes
2 small buttons for diaper(white)
1 medium button for blanket (your color choice)
1/8” white ribbon for booties
craft glue
15-guage aluminum wire (or similar) for OPTIONAL pacifier, and something to coat the end (I used resin nail polish with a UV/LED light)
